COMPLETATION OF THE DISPENSARY EXTENSION

Kithimani Dispensary is a government Rural Health facility, situated in Kithimani Sub Location, Yatta Division, and Yatta District. It occupies an area of 10 acres. It is situated on the northern outskirt of Kithimani market. It was started in 1963 as a community based Health facility through Government initiative. It has a population density of 25,273.

We help to uplift the facility so as to be able to accommodate all the health aspects both preventive and curative for the benefits of the local community in disease control and health promotion.

The funds was used to ensure essential health services are accessible to the community, to enhance knowledge, attitude and practice of the community towards health by use of their own resources and medical person; to create greater space and facilities catering for the fast growing community medical needs in terms of structure, tools and human resources. The main objectives were completion of the Dispensary Extension, Maintenance and Renovation as well as Purchase of a microscope.

"A healthy community is a stable community in all aspects of life. If this Dispensary is finished it would elevate the health of the community in question. Their financial capability cannot facilitate their needs thus the call for external support to save the deteriorating health status in the community. "Health is the responsibility of both rich and poor alike; in so much as it is for the weak and strong"."
